Why should you join the Team Trivia league

How does the Team Trivia league work

Sign up and you will be provided a league number.
Each time you play, provide Trivia Host with you league number.
Your team's top scores will make up your season score. Lower scores drop off.
Play as many nights per week as you would like at any Team Trivia of Illinois location.
At the end of each season, playoffs will commence.
Top ranked teams from season automatically qualify for the Championship Game.
A percentage of lower ranked teams are invited to Wild Card Games to compete for spots in the Championship Game.
Next season to start shortly after previous season (same rules apply)

**Invitations for the May 19th-Season 1 Tournament have been sent out to the top teams (see below for numbers) in each area. We sent the invitations to all team members using the email given to us. If your team qualified, but did not receive the invitation please email contactus@teamtrivia-il.com or click here and we will include your team. Include team name, team number, and roster (6 players max.).

May 5th -Last day to earn league scores (top 18 season scores count)

---Top 25 teams in this area automatically receive invitations on May 7th. They have

until May 14th to confirm. After noon May 14th, remaining league teams have an opportunity to fill any unclaimed spots on a first-come bases.

July 29th-Season starts
November 24th-Last day to earn league scores (top 16 season scores count)
December 8th-Championship Game

Please read prior to registering

New league numbers will be needed when the next league play starts January 1, 2012. Previous league numbers (prior to December 1, 2011) are no longer valid.
The only web sites used for scores are www.teamtrivia-il.com or www.playteamtrivia.com.
Chicagoland is divide into 3 areas-City, Suburb-North, and Suburb-South.
Areas include the following locations:
- City- Kincade's, Halsted's, Justin's, Firehouse, Murphy's, Village Inn, O' Donovan's, Simone's, Pumping Co., T's,
Burke's, Rail, Kroll's, Jury's, Innjoy, Moher, Fizz, Purple Otter, Weather Mark, St. Andrew's, Bar Louie, Glenwood
- Suburb North- America's, Blues Bar, Player's Pub, Wild Bull, Runway's, Durty Nellies, Lee St., Mrs. P., Stadium DP, Peggy Kinnane's

You must choose a "home" location based on the above areas.

Teams are invited to tournament locations based on standings and home locations. Your home area is the area you play most often. It is not always possible to invite teams to tournament games in their home areas. Sometimes teams will have to travel to other areas to compete in tournaments.
Prize money and number of teams competing at tournament games is based on number of locations and number of teams competing each season in each area. This is subject to change.
Team names need to be appropriate and may need to be changed if deemed inappropriate.
Each team is only allowed to have 1 score per day. 1st score received will be the only score for that day.
Score should be entered by the following Sunday night.
You DO NOT need to re-register each league season.
This should be the last time you have to register your teams. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Tournament Game Rules

Same rules as regular trivia nights apply.
NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED.
Team sizes limited to 6 players.
No teams will be allowed in after game starts.
Only players that are present at the start of the game are allowed to play.
Spectator may be allowed as long as the host location has the space. That may not be known until that day.

**Bonus Point Night and New Show Bonus message:

We will be having bonus point night for league teams. We will pick different nights and if you play that night your league team will receive bonus league points. You can play at any location that night.

New Show Bonus-10 points for 1st night of new shows

***These points will NOT count for the game that night at that location, but will be added online to your league score for that night.

**Facebook Freebie:

Receive 3 bonus points when you go to the Team Trivia of Illinois Facebook page each day, identify the picture of the day, and give your answer to the trivia host before halftime each night.

Fundraiser

As we are enjoying a beautiful spring please let us remember the less fortunate, those who have no place to go and nowhere to turn. Many who have young children, health issues and many who have fought for our freedom.

Journeys from PADS to HOPE is an organization that serves individuals and families in north and northwest suburban Cook County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Journeys is the collaborative effort of the HOPE Center clinical team and affiliated PADS emergency shelter sites. Focusing on intervention and prevention, the clinical staff at the HOPE Center provides an array of psychosocial services, including mental health counseling, vocational rehabilitation, and housing assistance. Journeys’ new supportive housing program offers affordable temporary housing and consistent therapeutic support by the HOPE Center clinical team to help clients achieve independence. Journeys also administers 19 faith-based emergency shelter sites that provide a safe, warm place to sleep and hot meals.

Team Trivia Illinois needs your help!! We will be collecting donations for the rest of April and May with our last collection at all our tournaments on May 19th.
